THE STORY – SEASON ONE

Twelve Letters.
One Unfolding Mystery.

Caroline Mitchell writes to her mother from France — but this is anything but a quiet travelogue. Each letter deepens the mystery, the romance, and the danger. We’re not going to tell you more than that.

1 She arrives

France is as she remembered. She is not.

2 She meets a boy

And through him, a man she cannot quite figure out.

3 Something goes wrong.

The handwriting in this letter is not steady.

4 She tries to explain

She cannot find the right word. Several wrong ones come to mind.

5 Something unexpected arrives.

Not from Caroline.

6 A stranger on a train.

Caroline may have said too much.

7 The past surfaces.

History, it turns out, did not stay buried.

8 She goes somewhere she shouldn't.

This letter is written in haste.

9 Seven words.

That change everything.

10 She confronts someone.

The picture begins to come clear — and it is not pretty.

11 The climax.

Everything converges. We are not going to tell you how.

12 The last letter.

Is it the end? Or, a beginning?

Season Two is in development. Subscribers will be first to know — and first in line for early pricing.

The woman who has everything — except a mystery arriving at her door every two weeks, tied in ribbon, postmarked from France

QUESTIONS & ANSWERS

Frequently Asked

Do I need to have read Call of the Blackbird to enjoy the letters?

The letters stand beautifully on their own as epistolary fiction — but readers who know the novel will experience an additional layer of depth, recognition, and delight. We recommend reading the novel first, though it is not required.

When does Season One begin, and when do letters arrive?

Season One ships on a bi-weekly schedule beginning the first week of each month’s cohort. After your payment is confirmed, your first letter ships within 14 days. Subsequent letters arrive every two weeks — you’ll receive 2 letters per month for 6 months.

Do you ship internationally?

Yes — Season Pass subscribers outside the US may be subject to a small international postage surcharge. Please note your country in the form above and Nancy will confirm exact pricing before charging you.

Can I give this as a gift?

Absolutely — it makes a beautiful gift for any woman who loves historical fiction, mystery, or romance. Simply enter the recipient’s mailing address in the form and note it as a gift in the “How did you hear about this?” field. Nancy will reach out to you personally to make sure it’s handled beautifully.

What if a letter arrives damaged or doesn’t arrive?

Contact Nancy directly and she will reship any letter that is lost or damaged. Every letter is tracked after it leaves the house, so we can investigate and resolve any postal issues quickly.

Will there be a Season Two?

Nancy is actively developing Season Two, which will focus on “the rest of the story” — what became of the art treasure, Interpol’s involvement, and at least one character whose story deserved a fuller telling. Season One subscribers receive first access and priority pricing.

Still have questions? Nancy reads every message personally.
